The Orchard Park PFI Advisory Board was established to provide a forum for local councillors, resident representatives and other stakeholders involved in and affected by the proposed Housing PFI scheme in Hull’s Orchard Park.
An inaugural meeting was held 9 February 2010. The Board met a further ten times before the coalition Government’s cancellation of all ‘pipeline’ (not at contract stage) Housing PFI projects on 22 November 2010. A last meeting was held on 22 December 2010.
At the final meeting, the suggestion was put forward that the Board (with PFI dropped from its name) might continue to meet perhaps on a quarterly basis as a means of engagement with other projects and any housing developments connected with Orchard Park.
